Nia Sky is an independent artist, maker and founder of the ArteBeat Atelier.

After graduating from the University of Cambridge with a degree in Environment, Law and Economics, Nia worked in private equity and investment, before pursuing a career in the arts and joining the design studio of French fashion house Céline LVMH. She currently works as Patrons Manager, Individual Giving & Collections Development at the Tate gallery in London when not in the ArteBeat Atelier studio.

A self-confessed consumer of cultures with a penchant for all things creatively-inclined, Nia finds inspiration from her Japanese, American, Russian and English heritage, combined with her native British sensibility, all of which contribute to a unique expression on world visual culture. From artists' studios in the South of France, to the historic and sonic streets of Japan, she is a ballet dancer, fire-poi spinner and perpetual explorer of centres of design, and has resided in France, the United States and the UK.

Nia's creative mind loves to play around with themes of design, socio-economics, the built and natural environment and science. When not enjoying escapism in nature, or dreaming about and embarking on traveller adventures in lands beyond; she is thinking about and jotting down fresh ideas concerning colors, images and visual concepts, and cites the Arts and Crafts Movement, William Morris, Georgia O’Keefe, Piet Mondrian, Hilma af Klint, Anni Albers and Buckminster Fuller amongst the many artists, writers and designers that influence her creative interest and practice.
